Room 4, Marine Institute of Memorial University

Pre-register on the IMCC website

In this focus group we will share the main concepts of conservation through use and the importance of applying a food security lens to management within the Arctic. We will also highlight the complexities that changes associated with climate change are bringing, and how Inuit knowledge and experience may help address management challenges.

In sharing this information, concepts, and value system we hope to open up a dialogue with the audience. The conversation will focus on bridging value systems.

Following the workshop, we will draft a white paper to reflect the conversation held during the workshop. This white paper will be shared with all within the conservation community and the Arctic Council working group.
